RSV hypertonic saline solution 3% is dispensed in preservative-free disposable packs and is intended for nebulisation (nebuliser inhalation). Improves respiration through a variety of mechanisms that promote the secretion of secretions from the airways:
• reduces the viscosity and elasticity of the secretion by breaking the ionic bonds in the mucosa;
• reduces swelling of the airway walls by absorbing water from the mucous membranes and subcutaneous mucosa;
• relieves airway obstruction, causing coughing and sputum, which helps to remove mucus from the bronchi.
RSV Hypertensive Saline 3% is specifically indicated for use in patients of all ages with bronchiolitis, acute bronchitis, cystic fibrosis and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Can also be used as a diluent with other inhaled medicinal products.
USE
Can be used with any type of sprayer (nebulizer). Read the package leaflet before use.
Use 4 or 5 ml of inhalation solution as directed by your doctor.
COMPOSITION: Sterile 3% sodium chloride solution.
