Breathing Exercise Machine - Threshold IMT

Description and specification
Threshold IMT is a respiratory muscle trainer designed to increase the strength of the respiratory muscles. The device consists of a lightweight, transparent plastic cylinder with an airflow valve at one end, an adjustable spring that controls the opening pressure of the valve, and a mouthpiece at the other end.

Threshold IMT creates inhalation resistance and exercises the respiratory muscles. In order to make a deep inhalation through a mouthpiece, a person must be able to exert sufficient negative pressure to cause the airflow valve to open. The valve blocks the flow of air until a deep "threshold" pressure is created during deep inhalation to overcome the spring force. As long as this pressure level is maintained, air flows through the unit.

The device delivers constant pressure no matter how fast or slow a person breathes. The pressure can be adjusted to determine the correct resistance load. The internal pressure indicator can be set to a specific level of exercise intensity according to the doctor's recommendations. This threshold pressure can be easily adjusted by removing the mouthpiece and turning the adjusting handle. As the handle rotates, the pressure indicator moves up or down the scale, showing the current pressure value (cm H2O).

The device is suitable for people with the following diseases:
Asthma
HOPS
Cystic fibrosis
Before breast surgery
Tetraplegia
Neuromuscular diseases
Removal from artificial auxiliary ventilation
Chronic heart failure

Key Features of Threshold IMT:
Increases the strength of the respiratory muscle
Increases the strength of the respiratory muscle
Increases exercise capacity and tolerance
Relieves shortness of breath
It can improve patients' quality of life

NOTE TO PHYSICIANS AND PHYSIOTHERAPY
The pressure load for inhalation muscle training should be determined by the patient's respiratory muscle force, which is measured by measuring the maximum inhalation pressure (PIMAX) with a pressure gauge. PI MAX is the greatest negative pressure a patient can exert on inhalation. The recommended training pressure for exercise is 30% of the patient's PIMAX. However, some patients may require a lower pressure load when starting training. As the patient's respiratory muscle strength increases, the pressure on the bar should be increased.

USAGE INDICATIONS
Threshold IMT is an inhalation muscle trainer that helps increase the strength and endurance of the respiratory muscles. ANY CHANGES TO THE TRAINING MODE AND SETTINGS ARE ACCEPTED ONLY BY THE DOCTOR'S INSTRUCTIONS. If you feel very tired after or during your workout, if you experience shortness of breath or your heart rate increases dramatically, STOP YOUR TRAINING AND CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR.

CLEANING
Wash with warm soapy water after each use. Rinse all parts with clean water. Shake off excess water and allow to dry. DO NOT BOIL AND DO NOT HEAT!

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
For Individual Use Only

Turn the dial to adjust the red line of the pressure indicator to the level prescribed by your doctor. For easier cutting, you can pre-attach the mouthpiece to your device. A higher number means more effort. Attach the mouthpiece firmly enough. Put on the nose clip and breathe through your mouth. Cover mouthpiece with lips and inhale deeply. When air flows through the unit, the valve is open. Continue to inhale and exhale without removing the device from your mouth.

Start by limiting your workout to 10 to 15 minutes a day (or as recommended by your doctor). Gradually increase your training time to 20 and 30 minutes a day, or two 10 to 15 minutes a day. Try to workout at the same time each day, at least five days a week.

Trainings should be regular and uninterrupted. Record your training results
diary.
